Portland Rock Climbs has Ozone Info!

For a long time now, the original Ozone climbing guide has been sold out. It was meant to be a limited edition fund-raiser and that's what it was.

However, we know that people still want all the good info and maps and history about Ozone. Thankfully, Tim Olson's newest edition of Portland Rock Climbs is now out and available. And not only does it feature all of the great Portland area climbing crags that it always has, but now it also has everything you need to know about Ozone and the Far Side.

When we put together our climbing guide for Ozone, Tim graciously let us use his outstanding maps for our book. In exchange, we gave him all our information for his new edition. So essentially what you're getting in PRC now is everything that was in our guide — and more.

If you still have questions about the Ozone guide, feel free to contact us.
But if you're just looking for all the beta, you'll find it in Portland Rock Climbs. Thanks again!

Running out . . .

We're down to the last few guidebooks. Climb Max and the Portland Rock Gym are both sold out (thanks for helping us sell them!), and at this point there are no plans to print another edition.

If you'd still like to purchase one, contact us while they're still some left to purchase. And thanks in advance!

Ozone guidebooks are again on the shelves at the Portland Rock Gym and Climb Max!

Both of these fantastic local institutions have been selling the books for us over the past few months, and we really appreciate it. The guides are $20 (cash or check only, checks made out to Jeanean Rauch), and all the proceeds still go to benefit the family of Kevin Rauch.

If you're not able to make it to PRG or Climb Max but still want a book, just contact us.

Lastly, our supplies of Ozone books are dwindling. (I myself only have seven books left!) So, if you've been putting it off, now's the time.

Thanks as always to everyone for your support. Enjoy the return of spring . . .

Farewell to a Friend

On Saturday, March 1, our friend Kevin Rauch passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side. Thanks to everyone for their care and support over the past few years. Kevin was a great friend and a great climber, and he will be missed deeply.

Proceeds from the sale of Ozone will continue to benefit Kevin's family.

There will also be a memorial to celebrate Kevin's life during the first weekend of spring. Please join us from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at Lakeside Gardens, 16211 SE Foster Road, Portland, OR, 97236. The ceremony will begin at 12 p.m., and there will be food and also a play area for children.
